Description

Clearwater has been developed to take advantage of superior genetic characteristics at a reasonable price for the professional market. It is a variety selected from a three-way cross of "big seeded" Kentucky bluegrass types.

Clearwater is a specialized variety developed for low cost applications in areas requiring a better turf quality than common Kentucky bluegrass varieties such as Kenblue, Newport, Park, Argyle, Huntsville, Geronimo and Alene. It was selected for medium dark color, aggressive stand establishment, better leaf texture, improved density, and aggressive growth characteristics.

Clearwater is an excellent variety to blend with other bluegrasses, perennial ryegrass, fine fescue and tall fescue.
