Description

Magic is a chewings fescue variety that will perform well in sun or full shade. Excellent heat and drought tolerance are the result of Magic's fine leaves able to resist moisture loss better than many other cool season grasses. Genetically impregnated with endophyte, helps protect against nasty pest damage.

Magic can be used as a mono-stand in areas where attractive turf is desired, but low-maintenance (nominal watering, little or no fertilizer, and infrequent moisture) is needed. Such areas may include hard to mow sites, slopes, creeks banks, roadsides, golf course roughs, and non-irrigated fairways. Other uses include reclamations sites, vineyards and orchards.

Magic along with other fine fescues, is primarily recommended as a component in mixtures that would include Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and other fine fescues.
